Introducing Technology in Rugby World Cup 2015

After football, tennis, volleyball and cricket Rugby authorities decided to introduce goal-line technology. Her debut in the English version of the Hawk-Eye system ("eagle eye") is to take place in autumn during the World Cup.



"Hawk Eye" is used in the English Premier League or the Spanish Bundesliga which is based on seven cameras those aimed at each goal post. When a goal scored, if the rugby ball passes over the crossbar between the posts - the judge receives a notification on his special watch.

Introduction of Technology undoubtedly benefit not only the judges, but also fans around the world - said Brett Gosper, the Executive Director of the Rugby World Cup.
